5. We believe that He (Jesus) lived a sinless life and died (a crucified death on the cross ) for our sins.

1 John 3:5: And ye know that He was manifested to take away our sins; and in Him there is no sin.

2 Corinthians:21: To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto Himself, not inputting their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation.

1 Peter 2:22: Who did no sin, neither was guile found in His mouth.

6. We believe that He was buried in a borrowed tomb but He rose on the third day with all power IN His hand.

1 Corinthians 15:3-4: For I delivered unto you the first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scripture. And He was buried, and that He rose again on the third day according to the scripture.

7. We believe that He descended into hell and set the captives free.

Ephesians 4:8-10: Wherefore He said, when He ascended up on high, He led captivity captive and gave gifts unto men. (Now that He ascended, what is it but that He also descended first into the lower parts of the earth? He that descended is the same also that ascended up far above all heavens, that He might fill all things.

8. We believe that He ascended into heaven and now is seated on the right hand of His Father.

Mark 16:19: So then after the Lord had spoken unto them, He was received up into heaven, and set on the right hand of God.

9. We believe in the Holy Spirit who is leading us into all truth.

John 16:7-13: Nevertheless I tell you the truth: it is expedient for you that I go away: For if I go not away, the Comforter will not come unto you; but if I depart, I will send Him unto you. And when He is come, He will reprove the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgement: of sin, because they believe not on me: of righteousness, because I go to my Father, and ye see me no more: of judgement because the Prince of this world is judged. I have many things to saying you, but you can not bear them now. Howbeit when He, the Spirit of Truth is come, He will guide you into all truth: For He shall not speak of Himself; but whatsoever He shall hear, that shall He speak: and He shall show you things to come.

10. We believe that the Church represents the physical presence of God in this world.

Matthew 16:18: And I say also unto thee. That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I shall build my Church; the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.

Acts 20:28: Take heed therefore unto yourselves, and to all the flock, over the which the Holy Ghost hath made you overseers, to feed the Church of God, which He hath purchased with His own blood.

11. We believe that He (Jesus) is coming again for a church without spot or blemish.

Revelation 1:7: Behold He cometh with clouds: and every eye shall see Him, and they also which pierced Him: and all kindred of the earth shall wail because of Him. Even so, Amen.

John 14:3: And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself, that where I am, there ye may be also.”
